Daily reflection
A 2-3 sentence summary the agent writes each evening capturing the day's notable events, threads worth carrying forward, and any skills the agent learned. The agent reads it the next morning to stay grounded.
Why it matters
A long-running agent has lots of episodic memory but no native sense of arc. The reflection compresses the day into a paragraph, which loads efficiently into context the next day. The agent's morning brief feels current because the reflection is current.
Most users never read their reflections. The value is in the agent reading them. A few moments make reading yours worthwhile: the end of a hard week, when the morning brief feels off, when you are trying to remember when something happened.
How Ajeris handles this
The daily reflection runs at 11 PM local time per-user. It captures threads, mood, threads from the day, and any candidate skills the agent observed. The reflection is written in second-person to the future agent self ("yesterday you launched the new pricing page"). The user can read any past reflection by asking ("what did I do last Tuesday?"). The reflection is loaded into the agent's context the next morning so the morning brief reflects the actual arc.
