BusinessMember
A join between a user and a business that defines the user's role in the business. Lets multiple staff share access to a single business agent without creating multiple business accounts.
Why it matters
A small business has multiple people: the owner, the technician, the receptionist (or the agent), an admin assistant. They all need to interact with the business agent in different ways. The owner can change settings; the technician can see today's dispatches; the assistant can respond to customer texts. The role split is the BusinessMember.
Without a join, every staff member would need to share login credentials. The join lets the access be per-user and the roles be per-staff.
How Ajeris handles this
BusinessMember is a database join between Users and Businesses with a role field. The role determines what the user can do in the business agent: change voice settings, edit services, view customer records, take over a thread. Roles are configurable; defaults are 'owner', 'manager', 'staff'. Adding a new BusinessMember sends them an invite email; they accept and join.
