Transcript download
A transcript download is the user-accessible export of the full meeting transcript as a plain-text file. Distinct from the agent-generated recap (which is a summary), the transcript is the raw record of what was said.
Why it matters
Meeting recap summaries are useful for "what happened and what's next." Sometimes the user needs the full transcript: legal compliance, dispute resolution, sharing with someone who was not there, doing a careful re-read of an important conversation.
The transcript download exists because users sometimes need to grep, search, share, or audit the raw words rather than the agent's summary. A recap that says "we agreed to deliver by March 1" is one thing; the full transcript line "John: yeah, March 1 works for us, that's our hard deadline" is another. Both useful; different purposes.
The honest disclosure: transcripts are not perfect. Speech recognition has error rates that vary with accent, audio quality, and overlap (when multiple people talk at once). A user reading the transcript should treat it as a high-quality first pass, not as a notarized record.
For privacy: the transcript stays in the user's account, encrypted at rest, isolated to that user. Sharing the transcript is the user's choice.
How Ajeris handles this
Ajeris's manage page exposes a per-meeting transcript download. The user clicks a button; the transcript downloads as a .txt file with timestamps and speaker labels. The transcript is generated alongside the recap; both live in the user's account, in a database encrypted at rest.
Transcripts are kept until the user deletes that calendar's data or their account, from Preferences on the manage page. For meetings recorded from October 3, 2026, the recording service deletes its own copy once Ajeris has saved the transcript, at most 48 hours after the meeting.
