Bot mode (meeting)
The default meeting-recording mode where a virtual participant joins the meeting, listens, and produces the transcript. Visible to other attendees as an extra participant.
Why it matters
Meeting bots are the default meeting-capture pattern in 2026. The bot joins, listens, transcribes, and produces a recap when the meeting ends. The advantages are simplicity (works on any major conferencing platform that admits the bot) and reliability (the bot does not depend on any participant's local setup).
The cost is visibility. Participants see the bot in the attendee list. Some hosts prefer not to have an extra attendee; some legal contexts require explicit per-participant consent; some meetings are too sensitive for a recorded bot. For these cases, invisible mode is the alternative.
How Ajeris handles this
Bot mode in Ajeris pre-warms the bot a couple of minutes before known-future meetings so it joins on time, and dispatches ad-hoc for closer meetings. The bot reports its state (joining, in-call, transcribing, finished) back to the agent in real time; the recap pipeline kicks off as soon as the meeting ends. Failures are surfaced cleanly to the user.
