Speed to lead
The time between a lead form submission and the first contact attempt. Studies have shown 5-minute response converts ~9x better than 24-hour response. With an AI SDR, the standard moves from 5 minutes to 30 seconds.
Why it matters
The 5-minute speed-to-lead rule has been a sales axiom since the 2007 InsideSales study. Most teams cannot hit it consistently because doing so requires staffing 24/7. The AI agent collapses the response window to under a minute; staffing is no longer the constraint.
The math is brutal for teams that cannot hit fast response: a 24-hour delay versus a 30-second response is roughly an order-of-magnitude conversion difference. For high-margin businesses (legal, contractors, B2B SaaS), the missed leads compound to material annual revenue.
How Ajeris handles this
The lead form fires a webhook to the agent (HMAC-signed). The agent receives the webhook in milliseconds, dials the lead's number, picks up the conversation in the owner's voice within 30 seconds of submission. If the lead does not pick up, the agent leaves a voicemail and follows up with SMS + email simultaneously. The cycle is full automation; the user does not need to be near a phone.
