Personal AI agent
A personal AI agent is an assistant that lives in your text messages and runs your life across the tools and channels you already use. It has its own phone number, its own memory, and its own integrations.
Why it matters
A personal AI agent is the user-facing category that makes the broader AI agent idea concrete for one person. The defining property is that the agent is yours: it has your memory, your accounts, your channels, your preferences, your skills. It does not exist as a stateless chat window the way a generic assistant does.
The reason this matters in product terms is that being personal lets the agent close the loop on tasks that no stateless tool can. "Reschedule my haircut to Saturday" is a task a personal agent can finish because it knows when your haircut is, who your barber is, what your preferred Saturday window looks like, and whether you would rather move it or cancel. The same sentence to a generic assistant is the start of a search session, not the end of one.
The technical preconditions for "personal" are unglamorous: per-user isolation (your data does not bleed into anyone else's), durable memory (the agent remembers across sessions and across channels), and authenticated tools (the agent can read your Gmail because you authorized it through OAuth, not because it scraped your inbox).
How Ajeris handles this
Every Ajeris user gets their own agent, isolated from every other user's at the database layer. It has its own phone number for routing, its own conversation history across channels, and its own memory (working, episodic, semantic, and core). Tools connect through proper OAuth and an MCP layer; the agent reads your real inbox because you connected it, not because it inferred it.
