Custom MCP
A user-supplied MCP server that exposes specific tools to the agent. Lets users wire any HTTPS-reachable system into their agent without waiting for the platform to ship a native integration.
Why it matters
The agent ships with a fixed set of native integrations (Gmail, Calendar, Spotify, etc.). The set is broad but not exhaustive. Custom MCP is the answer for users who have a niche tool, an internal API, or a third-party system the platform has not natively integrated. The user writes a small server (50-200 lines) that exposes their tool to the agent as MCP tools.
Custom MCP collapses the integration timeline from "wait for the platform to ship" to "afternoon of work." It is the most differentiating capability for power users.
How Ajeris handles this
Custom MCP servers are connected via the manage page or by texting the agent the URL + auth token. The agent validates the server, lists the tools it found, and adds them to the agent's available tools. The server runs on the user's infrastructure (Cloudflare Workers, Vercel, VPS); credentials are encrypted at rest in Ajeris. Tools picked up from the MCP appear in the agent's tool palette on the next turn.
