Run on laptop
The agent's tool for forwarding shell commands to a paired laptop. Lets the user drive their dev box from a phone via text messages.
Why it matters
A category of small developer tasks is most efficient when done from a phone: tail a log, restart a process, deploy a tested commit, edit a single line. Walking back to the laptop for these costs 5-15 minutes; texting the agent to do them costs 30 seconds. Run-on-laptop is the surface that enables this.
The implementation has security and reliability constraints. The laptop has to be authenticated, commands have to be safe, long-running tasks have to handle the connection lifecycle gracefully.
How Ajeris handles this
Run on laptop is the primary delegation tool for laptop pair. The agent forwards your typed command to the paired laptop; the laptop executes locally; the result comes back to your phone in seconds. Hung sessions are watchdogged. When the device is offline, requests queue until the daemon reconnects. You can cancel an in-flight session from any channel.
