The honest version
Instinct is the most-funded personal agent of 2026. A 23-year-old former Sierra researcher raised $350 million, reached a $2.5 billion valuation in August, and reportedly began talks for more at $10 billion in September. The product idea is strong: you text it, and somewhere a computer that belongs to you opens a browser and does the thing. Book the flight. Cancel the gym. Argue with the cable company. People who have it describe the good runs as magic.
Two things are also true. You probably cannot get it: the beta is invite-only and access is throttled to what the company can afford to run, because every user is a cloud computer. And when you do get it, the design goal is finishing without checking in, which is exactly the property that produced the incidents TechCrunch reported in August: an email sent without a confirmation step, a demonstrated phishing path through a prompt in an inbox, and terms that grant a broad training license over what you share.
